Se utiliza para describir acciones que estaban en progreso en un momento específico del pasado.
Para realizar oraciones interrogativas o negativas necesitamos usar el verbo auxiliar "to be" en pasado (was/were) y el verbo principal en gerundio (terminación -ing).
Subject + to be (was/were) + Verb-ing + ComplementSubject + to be (was/were) + not + Verb-ing + Complementto be (Was/Were) + Subject + Verb-ing + Complement?I was studying when you called.
They were studying all night.
He was not (wasn't) studying.
Were you studying?
Yes, I was.
No, I wasn't.
